The MQ-6 Gas Sensor Module is a simple, cost-effective, and reliable solution for detecting LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), Propane, and Butane concentrations in the air. With a detection range of 200 to 10,000 ppm, it is ideal for a wide variety of gas monitoring and safety applications.
This sensor offers high sensitivity and fast response time, ensuring quick detection of gas leaks. It operates using tin dioxide (SnO₂) as the sensing material, which has low conductivity in clean air. When combustible gases are present, the conductivity increases proportionally with the gas concentration, generating a corresponding output signal.
The MQ-6 module provides an analog output that reflects gas concentration levels and can be easily interfaced with microcontrollers through an ADC. The circuit design is simple and requires only a 5V power supply, making it easy to integrate into Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other embedded systems.
